Each class was allocated a project - to create something to add to the fantastic outdoor learning spaces we have been developing this year. The Birch Class have been working so hard on their creative project - to design and make some interactive tables using wooden reels. They spent time discussing how these tables might be used by other children and then designing their tables and stools. They worked together collaboratively - even helping to lift the tables outside in wheelbarrows! Well done everyone they look fantastic!
We have been hard at work creating interactive tables for the outdoor learning spaces in the school - today we brought them outside. They were very heavy so we needed a lot of teamwork and we even got to use the lift which we were all very excited by!
The Birch Class conducted a survey to find out about the favourite ice-cream flavours of Senior Infants. Firstly we visited the Oak and Sycamore classes and asked them - we recorded their answers on tally charts. Then we used the tally charts to create a frequency table. Finally we worked in groups to create a block graph and a pictogram for display. Thanks for all the support for Ice-Cream Funday in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland! |
