We had a great time putting extra focus on friendship during Friendship Month this February. We really are great friends in the Birch Class!
We had so much fun today making pancakes from scratch! We gathered all the ingredients and utensils and made the batter. Then we went into the staffroom to cook a pancake for ourselves - they were so tasty! Afterwards, we wrote the procedure for making pancakes in our copies as we have been working on procedural writing! As part of Book Week next week parents are invited to attend a shared reading sessions with the Birch & Hazel Classes at 8.30am, Wednesday 1st March.
Parents are invited to bring along their favourite stories to read to the children all languages encouraged and welcomed! We would love to see you all there. We had a amazing time with story-teller Fiona this morning, she told some great stories, riddles and jokes! She also played the thumb piano and even let everyone have a turn to play it, it was so cool! We love construction - today during visual art we began our junk art transport-themed construction creations! We can't wait to see how the turn out.
Click here to see the marvellous montage of our whole school tree planting day! We had a great time and we so excited to be part of creating the future wooded area for our school!
As you may be aware we are aiming for our third green flag this year at Powerstown E.T. This flag comes under the theme of Water. The green team and the whole school are doing great work to raise awareness of water conservation but we would love parents to get involved too. We would appreciate it if you could fill in the quick survey in the link below about your water use at home. It should only take a few minutes and will help towards getting our next green flag. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1BUK6R0mXXsbxnOxjGsA7-aYpEATv-J8Oo_Tjo6sEP4U Thanks all, Green Team |
