Congratulations to our new class reps on the Student Council, School Garden and Green Schools committee! Well done to everyone in the Birch Class for participating in the election this year - making posters, writing speeches and exercising their right to vote on election day. It is amazing to see democracy in action!
Best of luck to all the candidates running in the school elections tomorrow! The children have been very busy making posters and writing speeches. We can't wait to see who will be elected to the committees!
Today we visited every class in the school making sure they have their Fire Safety clipboard. We we a little nervous heading into the classes to deliver these clipboard as we would have to speak in front of lots of new children and teachers. However, we reminded ourselves to be confident, taking a deep breath and say 'I can do this'. Everyone did a fantastic job! Well done team Birch Class!
Well done to the children who recieved Student of the Week awards during senior assebly today! Keep up the fantastic work!
We have been discussing healthy habits and how to take care of ourselves. We decided to make some healthy habit promises for the year ahead - including things like: Play outside; Drink more water; Spend less time on tablets and video games; Go to bed early etc. We are looking forward to a great year ahead.
We were so lucky today to be invited along to Tyrrelstown House where Mark gave us a guided tour of all the wonderful trees that are growing in there. We were even allowed to collect some samples of leaves which we have on display in our classroom. Thanks Mark! |
