We had so much fun today trying out all the new P.E. equipment doing an obstacle course in the hall! Our first Movie Night of the year takes place on Tuesday 22nd November! The Student Council voted for the movie and Zootropolis was chosen. The screening will take place in the school hall on the big projector just like at the cinema! Everyone is welcome to bring a cushion so they can get comfy on the floor! Children are welcome to bring snacks and there will be a tuck shop selling treats on the night too. Children are welcome to bring along siblings and friends. Tickets €5 (single) €10 (family) will be on sale outside the school every morning and afternoon. Tickets are also on sale online: https://www.aladdin.ie/p/11451761

Baby Emily came to visit today and we noticed just how much she has grown and changed since we last saw her! She is getting so much bigger and stronger. This week was Recycling Week in school and the Green Schools set everyone a challenge - to create something from recycled materials! So the Birch Class decided to work together to create a 'Recyclasauras'! Our recycling dinosaur! We worked together so well: discussing our ideas; planning out our creation; sharing materials; taking turns; and tidying up! Well done everyone. Sycamore Class teacher Elaine was so impressed with our recyclasauras that she invited us to go into her class to speak to the children about how we planned and built our creation! We also spoke to them about how we worked like a team and gave them some tips before they started their work. We were a bit nervous speaking in front of another class but we knew we could do it so we took a deep breath and did our best. Well done everyone!
We are so excited about our new mat that we decided to take our books from the mobile library and have a quick read of them on the mat!
