As part of Maths Week we used 2D squares to create symmetrical pixel portraits. We think they look really like Minecraft characters which we all love!

Today we had lots of fun at the Forest School - we looked for signs of autumn; did Maths Week nature task cards and gathered leaves for rubbings. We have been using the story of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” in drama and have been learning about houses & homes in S.E.S.E. So we decided to work in pairs and draw the inside of the three bears home! We did a great job! The Birch Class were the first ones to answer the Maths Challenge on the school Maths noticeboard! We had to think of possible questions for the answer that was provided below. We did a great job of looking at homes from the past and putting them into chronological order! Wow - look at all the amazing work the Birch Class have done on the novel 'The Twits'! We wrote character descriptions of Mr and Mrs Twits, completed word searches; wrote a list of the disgusting things found in Mr Twits beard; solved a tanagram puzzle of Mrs Twits walking stick and constructed disgusting Mr Twits beards! Well done everyone!
Baby Emily our Roots of Empathy teacher paid us a visit today! We were really excited to meet her but we were very quiet so we didn't scare her. We discussed her feelings; predicted and measured her length; watched her do tummy time and then predicted all the things she will be able to do by the time we meet her next month! We are looking forward to Emily's next visit already. Click here to read more about the Roots of Empathy programme. |
